A Brilliant opportunity has arisen for a Switch-Mode Power Supply Design Engineer to join a fantastic company working with a small team of engineers based in the central belt of Scotland.

The Switch-Mode Power Supply Design Engineer will be responsible for the whole product design process from proposal to production and the continued support thereafter. You will be involved in a number of power conversion projects which include high efficiency single and three phase AC-DC converters, wireless power transfer converters and wave-energy power take off converters. The successful engineer will also work closely with mechanical and PCB engineers guiding them on the PCB layout and mechanical design.

The successful candidate will have a good relevant degree with a proven background in power supply design. Other areas of expertise include:

* Experience with LLC topology as well as a broad knowledge of other topologies.

* Experience in Digital Circuits and in particular dsPIC .

* Experience in PFC Circuits; EMC issues (prevention/resolve), Thermal and Transformer Design (cost/budget).
