Technology Scout (Health Service Group) - Major Manufacturer - A global leader in electronic devices and core components is currently seeking someone to work as a regional technology scout to identify and evaluate unique advanced technology for potential collaboration with R&D teams. You will be required to leverage your network within the VC, start-up and university community. This role is an office based role in Middlesex which will require you to travel.


*BSc/ MSc in computer science or engineering (PhD is preferred)
*5+ years' experience in R&D, Start Up or investment background
* Deep understanding of both user benefit/experience and market/technology trends
* Strong desire to learn a broad spectrum of technology

Duties and Responsibilities

* Identify and evaluate sources (start-ups, universities, etc.) of promising technologies in Europe
* Structuring and execution of collaborations between R&D teams and external parties
* Act as project coordinator during execution of collaboration
* Communicate collaboration results to internal groups across the business unit

This opportunity will allow to be directly involved with new, up-and-coming technologies which are being developed and researched. You will work with a range of professionals who are leaders of their field including professors, research institutes as well as venture capitalists and start-up companies.
