A multi-national Semiconductor company has a new position for a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer to be based in their design centre based in Edinburgh.

Working within an experienced team of design engineers, you will be working on Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design for advanced power control IC's for a broad range of applications including automotive and industrial.

In this position you will be responsible for leading design development through the design cycle from concept to production, leading the transistor level design phase and mentoring junior design engineers. You will be involved in designing Analog blocks including; amplifiers, comparators, bandgaps, power transistors, oscillators and ADCs.

Other responsibilities will include:

-Working with System Engineering and customers to define best topologies
-Determine design approaches and parameters
-Validate datasheet specs via top-level simulations.
-Working with layout engineers to ensure designs are efficiently laid out to maximise performance.
-Bench evaluate silicon to debug the designs.

The successful candidate will be industry degree qualified and will have established experience in Analog IC Design in a Cadence design environment. Experience in designs for automotive and motor control would be ideal. Experience in BCD process technology is highly desired.
