Based in Berkshire the Hardware Applications Engineer will join an established and rapidly growing Engineering Team tasked with developing high tech system solutions within the Semiconductor and Communication Markets.

The Hardware Applications Engineer will be responsible for developing the next generation of customer evaluation kits. This will include Digital and Analogue Design, Microprocessor Design and PCB Design. Other responsibilities will include supporting internal development, Testing of customer deliverables and supporting customers.

The successful candidate will have a good relevant degree, along with skills in the following:
*Electronic Design (Digital and Analog, ADC / DAC experience a distinct advantage)
*Basic understanding of Microcontrollers / Microprocessors, and firmware.
*Experience with Matlab based tests, control scripts and test equipment would be an advantage.
*Good verbal and written skills required.
*Customer Support Attitude
*Schematic Capture / Layout experience (Cadence Preferred)

Other skills of interest include:
* ARM experience/knowledge a distinct advantage.
*An appreciation of VHDL and/or software.
*Basic understanding of communications protocols.
*High Frequency design
