ABOUT THE JOB
Nordic Semiconductor´s R&D capacity is expanding. Our System Integration Group (SIG) is looking to recruit a talented and experienced Digital IC Designer with in-depth knowledge of using FPGAs or HW emulators for IC prototyping. You will be involved in the development of Nordic Semiconductor´s next generation of world-leading ultra-low power chips, with focus on pre-silicon prototyping.
SIG is an exceptional team of highly specialized engineers from a variety of IC Design backgrounds. We are responsible for all disciplines, from digital design and verification to place&route of Nordic Semiconductor´s portfolio of chip products.
We have expertise in various low power short range wireless standards and low power microcontrollers. Using cutting-edge design techniques to achieve high performance at extremely low power is of paramount importance. We operate as focused individuals on highly specialized projects, and come together as a cohesive team, in which our skill-sets, passions and expertise feed into our enhanced collective excellence.
This position focuses on pre-silicon prototyping in addition to general digital IC design and verification. The successful candidate will be part of a team developing microcontroller-based solutions for wireless standards like Bluetooth Low Energy, proprietary protocols and radio systems.
On a regular basis, responsibilities include:
- IC design adaptions and synthesis for FPGA
- Use of HW emulators for IC prototyping
- HW/SW co-simulation
- Digital IC design and verification
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- MSc in Electronics Engineering or similar
- Proven experience or education with the following:
- Digital IC Design
- Digital IC Verification
- Experience with EDA IC design and verification tools academically or professionally
- Knowledge of scripting languages like perl, python or similar
- communication skills
- Experience in producing written documentation
- Fluent English language (written and oral)
