Nordic Semiconductor is the market leader in Bluetooth® Low Energy connectivity, with a growing portfolio of wireless devices, LTE-M and NB-IoT being the latest augmentation. Our SoC products are used by world-leading brands in a wide variety of applications, including wireless PC peripherals, gaming, sports and fitness, mobile phone accessories, consumer electronics, toys, healthcare and automation.

Nordic Semiconductor´s R&D capacity is expanding. We are looking to recruit a talented and dynamic Software Developer with the technical expertise and communication skills to help develop and grow our portfolio. You are motivated to make a real contribution to the design and development of our desktop applications. You will be joining a team of experienced and skilled developers, creating applications which interact with Nordic's wireless devices.

You will be working on new and existing desktop applications. As part of a development team following agile principles, you will be contributing in all parts of the development cycle with planning, design, implementation, testing, release, and similar.

The applications are primarily developed using JavaScript and Node.js (the predominant programming languages for creating our desktop applications). This ensures flexibility and productivity, giving us access to a large ecosystem of Node packages (npm). JavaScript is also used for cross-platform development – something which Nordic values and embraces. C/C++ is used for our low-level code. It is powerful and fast and gives us the flexibility to share components between different programming languages.

Our desktop team spans the full stack of development, from digging into hardware interfacing calls to perfecting the GUI. You will have the opportunity to contribute to all areas, and to specialize in the areas where you have particular expertise and passion.


  • M.Sc. in Computer Engineering or similar, or B.Sc. with relevant experience
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent English language (written and oral)

Proven experience with:

  • Modern best practices in software development
  • Writing organized and easy to understand code
  • /Node.js application development
  • JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as Electron, React.js, Redux, or similar
  • You enjoy new challenges and are excited about the chance to make a difference within the organization.


  • Cross platform development (Windows, Linux and MacOS)
  • Experience with C/C++ development
  • Knowledge about creating great usability experience (UX)
