Technical Business Development - IP Solutions - UK.

My client is a leading start-up in the Intellectual Property (IP) space which is combining Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to create innovative inventions for leading OEMs. Their patents are already cited by companies such as Google, Microsoft and Amazon and they are growing rapidly. As part of that growth, they are seeking a Technical Business Development individual to join their UK team.

*Excellent educational track-record in a relevant technical subject or numerate subject. First-class degree preferred.
*A true passion for technology and IP; able to communicate that passion to senior level customers and apply technical knowledge to the sell.
*Deep understanding of the principles of Intellectual Property (IP).
*Clear communicator and previous sales/business development experience preferred.

*To understand complex ideas and then translate them in an understandable way to Tier1 clients.
*Manage existing accounts and build solid rapport with decision-makers.
*Develop new business; both generating and qualifying leads.
*Work closely with external and internal partners to develop a strong sales pipeline.
