This Algorithm Engineer vacancy is based in Central London with my client; a predominantly software focused company that collects sports personnel and team performance data on their own hardware, then creates valuable insights with this for use by professional sports teams. With a major client on board already and more in the pipeline, they are expanding their software team and require the skills of several algorithm developers from 1-3 years of experience. However if you've worked on some interesting personal projects (developed software for your own quad-copter for instance) then you could be a MSc/MEng graduate with no commercial experience.
What can you expect? Primary responsibilities will be in the design and development of signal processing algorithms in Python and working closely with field test engineers on-site, interacting with professional sports players. Eligible Algorithm Engineers will have a MSc or MEng such as Electronic Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science and experience in;
1. Python or MATLAB
2. Basic Signal Processing concepts such as filtering, Nyquist frequencies and time-frequency transformations
If you're a very competent algorithm developer who also loves sports, in particular Rugby(!) then you would likely be a great match for this. So if this sounds like you and you're keen to find out more then please apply and contact Christopher Wyatt, Specialist Consultant at IC Resources. Even if you are unsure that you fulfil all of the criteria, please still apply as there may be similar roles we can recommend.
