Hardware Verification Engineer

ABOUT THE JOB

Nordic Semiconductor´s R&D capacity is expanding. We are looking to recruit exceptional electronics engineers with a talent for programming and a keen interest in advanced RF SoC devices to join our HW Verification Team to help develop and grow our portfolio.

The HW Verification Team develops robust automated tests which provide the engineering evidence required to confirm adherence to critical performance metrics and design margins. Your responsibilities will also include planning, designing, implementing and maintaining the test infrastructure required for characterization and prototype approval of advanced SoCs. Working in close cooperation with our other R&D teams, your expertise and the test resources at your disposal will be crucial for effective post-silicon debugging and root cause diagnosis.

You will be part of a specialized, multi-disciplinary team of highly motivated verification engineers, contributing to the development of the next generation of Nordic Semiconductor devices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the planning and execution of test and verification activities, starting with initial specification for product concept and architecture design through the entire development cycle to product release.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • MSc in Electrical Engineering or similar OR BSc with at least 3 years´ relevant work experience
  • Firm grasp of mixed-signal IC test and measurement principles
  • Keen understanding of RF and mixed mode designs
  • Strong programming background in low-level and script-based languages, for example, C, C++, Python, LabView
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with debugging complex systems
  • Fluent English language (written and oral)

DESIRABLE EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Experience with or knowledge of semiconductor production test infrastructure
