C# .NET Software Engineer

Cambridge

We are looking to add a Software Engineer to the R&D team in Cambridge and require developers experienced with C# .NET development. The successful candidate will have a strong background in developing complex .NET based software solutions and demonstrate proven competence in C# coding using Visual Studio.


The C# Software Engineer will be involved in but not limited to:

* Developing complex system and product level applications using C# and the .NET framework across the full product life-cycle

* Providing maintenance and technical support for existing products to ensure prompt rectification of problems reported by users, both internal and external

* Creating and executing comprehensive testing and debugging plans for software quality assurance prior to release

* Working with R&D and production teams to implement fixes and upgrades for existing systems


Skills required of the C# Software Engineer:

* Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent

* Experience in developing applications in C# for .NET framework using Visual Studio

* An experience or knowledge of the following features of application development is beneficial:

o LINQ for .NET applications

o Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)

o Extensible Application Markup Language (XAML)

o Dependency Injection / Inversion of Control (preferably using Autofac)

o SOLID Principles

o Loose-coupling applications using frameworks like PRISM

o Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

o Reactive Extensions (RX)

o SignalR for ASP.NET applications

o Asynchronous programming for C#


This post would suit a C# Software Engineer who has 3+ years of experience developing complex solutions / applications within the .NET framework using Visual Studio.
