The Role:

  • Responsible for full developments.
  • Adhering to written specifications.
  • Creating code that is well written, stable, reliable and easy to maintain.
  • Testing to verify code is performing to specification.
  • Second line support on your developments.
  • Working as part of a team on larger projects.

Key Skills:

  • Educated to degree level.
  • At least 3 years' experience in embedded software development.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of programming in 'C'.
  • Linux experience would be a benefit (Linux driver and application development).
  • Ability to develop low level applications on modern microcontrollers - we generally use ARM cortex -M series processors.
  • Ability to use test equipment to verify correct functioning of embedded software.
  • Skill in debugging problems and resolving issues without recourse to software debugging tools.
  • Ability to work autonomously under the guidance of senior engineers.
