Are you a skilled Digital SoC Design Engineer who enjoys talking to and working closely with customers? Do you like travel? If so, you could have the makings of a great Field Applications Engineer, and we want to hear from you.

Our client is hiring for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) with a very strong engineering background in ASIC / FPGA development. The company is an expanding, privately held design firm developing unique and exciting SoC technology, based in the beautiful region of the Côte d'Azur.

In this role you will be a key point of contact for customers related to technical SoC development aspects. You will be involved in pre and post sales activities, including first level customer support, delivering technical training, interfacing to the R&D team, and conducting technical presentations. As you will be working with customers all over the world, you role will require some travel to international locations.

To have what it takes to become a Field Applications Engineer, you will have:

· Adept technical knowledge Digital Design flow, with practical experience in VHDL or Verilog coding for ASIC or FPGA development

· A number of years' experience working as an ASIC / FPGA Design Engineer

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· An ability to provide clear and correct technical explanations and solutions for the clients to understand the product

· A high level of motivation, with a flexible, customer focus and enthusiasm to combine your technical and business acumen

· Fluent English language skills

Any prior experience working as an FAE would be a bonus, however equally the right candidate could have a purely engineering background with a desire to step into Applications.
