Senior Software Engineer - C#/WPF



Salary up to circa £60k DOE

An opportunity has come up for an experienced Senior Software Engineer who is well versed with C# and WPF to join a successful organisation in the Cambridge area. This opportunity is 75% programming and 25% mentoring / leadership.

Responsibilities of the Senior Software Engineer:

* Programming in C#

* Participate in group design activities

* Take responsibility for work assigned

* Review existing code base to propose/develop new solutions

Essential skills and experience:

* A degree in computer science or equivalent formal training

* 3-5 years software development experience in a commercial organisation

* Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)

* Proven ability to lead small teams to deliver product releases

* Strong C#, WPF skills

* Familiarity with MVVM

* Experience in working in a Scrum environment

* Scrum Master

* An interest in/knowledge of graphic arts

Desirable skills:

* Knowledge of the structure of Graphical Formats TIFF/BMP

* Knowledge of the structure of Page Description Languages, especially PDF

* Experience of Jira

* Experience of OpenGL programming

* Digital screening knowledge
