Digital Physical Design Engineer - ASIC Backend Design, Bristol

This is a unique new opportunity for a Digital Physical Design Engineer to join a revolutionary high speed platform development company based in Central Bristol.

This Physical Design position sits within a fast paced development team working on the latest HPC trading platforms used by the financial industry the world over. Our client is ahead of the game in their development of high speed low-latency processing platforms and solutions, and is expanding their silicon design team in Bristol, recruiting for two Physical Design Engineers (at varying levels of experience) to be involved in setting up new flows from the beginning, focussing on the full RTL-GDSII flow. Successful candidates could either be junior (even graduates, with relevant project experience) or engineers with several years' in industry.

Our client is particularly interested in someone with a strong academic background; highly analytical thinkers and a keen problem solvers, with proven experience in:

*Digital ASIC Backend Design (RTL-GDSII)
*Static Timing Analysis (STA), floorplanning and Place & Route (P&R)
*CMOS silicon digital chip design and implementation
*An understanding of custom / transistor level design and Spice would be advantageous, although not essential
