This software development position has arisen with a growing company based in their Bristol office. The position is for a software engineer to work closely with their IC designers to develop software for use in the lab to exercise their chips they are producing.

The software development will be focused on each new IC Device they produce. The successful candidate will firstly need to understand the specification and implementation of the chip and will involve:

* Developing of a user-friendly test and demo GUI in C and LabWindows
* Coding in C to control the device under test and the test instruments to perform specified tests
* Analysis and presentation of test results

The role provides an excellent opportunity to learn about IC development and also about the applications to which their chips are applied.

Candidates will have a relevant degree in Electronics, Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics, a good level of proficiency writing software in C and some understanding of electronic circuit theory( this can be through experience of from education).
