Mechanical & Thermal Engineer - Start-Up

I'm searching for a Mechanical engineer to help design the mechanical & thermal aspects of the product development of my client's technology. This is an exciting role within a start-up company who are looking to double in size within the next 6 months.

Essential skills

*1-6+ years in mechanical and product design
*Able to work with engineering teams across multiple disciplines to integrate technology requirements into the mechanical design.
*Advanced skills in CAD design.
*Good or advanced use of Solidworks for mechanical design and manufacturing.
*Great communications and able to take responsibility for projects and delivery to tight timescales.
*Able to "get hands dirty" and learn on areas or skills that might be new.
*Experience of prototyping ideas quickly.
*Working with machine shops and local fabricators to build prototypes and test jigs.
*Happy being independent in working style and able to go away and solve problems.
*Designing sheet-metal parts, metal machined parts, injection moulded parts.

Desirable skills

*Designing & building Prototype Test Jigs & Frameworks.
*Electronic PCB and mechanical integrations
*Product development of Avionics electronics
*Product development of Maritime electronics
*Designing and analysis of thermal management solutions: heat-sinks, forced air cooling, liquid cooling and heat-pipes.
*Shock & vibration testing including HALT & HASS
