Mixed Signal Verification Engineer - Home Counties, UK

Are you interested in applying modern "digital" IC Design Verification tools and methodologies, to solve complex analog, mixed-signal, verification problems. If so, this could be the role you are looking for.

My client, a leading provider working in the area of power management solutions has a new role as a Mixed-Signal Verification Engineer, that might just be for you.

The role will include, but not be limited to, the following topics :-

* Development of efficient mixed signal models using state of the art techniques
* Development of sophisticated mixed signal testbenches that leverage digital verification techniques to address mixed signal challenges
* Definition and implementation of mixed signal tests that optimally address the risks inherent in aggressive mixed signal IC development
* Working closely with architects, designers and test engineers throughout project cycles to ensure that mixed signal verification effectively complements other project activities.

Experience in some or all of the following is required:

* BSc or BEng (or equivalent) in Electrical or Electronic engineering (or similar)
* Experience within a semiconductor company either in mixed signal design or digital/mixed signal verification
* Knowledge of digital or mixed verification techniques
* Familiarity with the Cadence Analog Design Environment, ideally using the AMS simulator
* Experience developing behavioral models of mixed signal systems
* Basic understanding of analog circuits with an emphasis on analog power circuits, voltage references, current references, LDOs, DC/DC converters, etc.
* Understanding of mixed signal IC development risks, including interface issues, modelling strategies etc.
* Strong problem solving ability, being able to both leverage existing knowledge effectively and also learn new tools/techniques where needed
* Good communication skill, in particular the ability to effectively work in cross disciplinary teams, and adapt to dynamic development environments

Excellent communications skills are required. Due to visas restrictions in the UK visas cannot be obtained for this position.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established team of experts in the field of power management and to work on some challenging and interesting designs.
