Our well known multinational Semiconductor client is seeking a Staff level Digital ASIC Design Engineer to join them based in Dublin, developing a brand new product range. This is a superb opportunity to work on the most advanced technology down to 7nm, within a solid company set for further expansion this year.

The Senior Digital ASIC Design Engineer you will be responsible for developing world class digital / mixed signal ICs, creating brand new RTL. You will front the development of the specification and implementation of digital designs using the industry's very latest ASIC tools and methodologies, with a focus on complex clock and data recovery algorithms and adaptive digital control loops. You will work in close conjunction with the analog and verification teams to develop a complete, world class mixed signal design environment.

Candidates suitable for this position will bring:

*Strong practical experience in the complete Digital ASIC Design flow, from specification, frontend RTL Design, Verification, STA (static timing analyse) through DFT and physical implementation
*An excellent understanding of each step of the digital ASIC / IC design flow and key productivity / performance metrics
*Experience in implementing DSP in ASIC hardware preferred
*Matlab experience would be ideal, however not essential
*Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate well with customers
*A good academic background (BSc / MSc minimum) in Electronic Engineering / related field
