This London based Internet of Things platform company is focused on developing digital health and environmental sensor networks that generate actionable insights to improve people's lives and deliver value to business and government customers. They are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator who will be working as part of the team supporting their infrastructure.

Primary responsibility will include providing administrative expertise to manage the server / cloud infrastructure with responsibility for a variety of systems including security systems, backup systems, storage and disaster recovery. Although this is a system administrator position, this person is expected to provide level 3 support to clients when necessary.

*Web Ops: Nginx, IIS, Apache, Varnish, Git, Jenkins and Puppet
*Cloud: EC2, GCE, EBS, ELB, GCS, S3, AppEngine
*Monitoring: Zabbix, New Relic, Logstash, Kibana
*Data Stores: SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Solr, Cassandra
*OS: Windows Server 2012/2008R2
*Other important Tech: Docker, RabbitMQ, Jenkins, Nexus, OpenVPN

*Being responsible for overseeing external and cloud infrastructure as well as enterprise deployments for Windows/IIS and Linux/Apache environments.
*To work as part of a team to ensure 24/7 managed services availability for strategic customers. This will be achieved by being part of a team that covers the out of hours support rota.
*To work on projects as required such as upgrading software, hardware, servers and network infrastructure as required.
*To ensure that Managed Services Service Level Agreement's are met and wherever possible exceeded.
*Assist in performing analysis, planning, and design of the network architecture.
*Maintain all LAN and communications circuits and systems documentation.
*Perform diagnostic tasks on network servers, routers, switches, and similar equipment both locally and remotely.
*Support configuration management and perform network backups, file restores, PMIs, and new hardware and software testing prior to installation on the production network.
*Provide remote user support and Level I Help Desk support as required.
*Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
*Support end users/customers as required to assist with escalated requests.
*Receive, review and perform Go-Live requests in accordance with documented procedures.
*Receive, review and perform Requests for Change as per Change Management Procedure.
*To promote consistent and good working practices, making suggestions for improvement wherever possible.
