Working as part of a Electrochemical Deposition team, the primary purpose of this Senior Mechanical Engineer role will be to develop new hardware for an electroplating system.

Specifically, I'm looking for someone with experience of designing closed systems for delivery of hazardous fluids. Typical volumes will be in the tens to hundreds of litres range.

An important element will be ensuring fluid systems meet industry levels of safety; and can be pass scrutiny for industry standards of compliance. In addition to design work the candidate would be expected to take a hands-on approach to hardware build and evaluation. Other responsibilities will include writing technical reports for both internal and external use, extracting technical guidance from OEM suppliers and trouble-shooting hardware.

You will be joining a concept and feasibility project which could herald a completely new product type for the company. Success would trigger the formation of a whole new department hence there is potential for rapid career progression.

This position may involve a minimal amount of international travel.

Qualifications & Experience:

*Knowledge of how to make said fluidic networks compliant in terms of industry safety standards (CE etc) i.e. appropriate part selection, design and interlocks.
*Broad experience of fluidic hardware i.e. pumps, valves, tubes and couplings.
*Good analytical skills & a logical, proactive approach to problem solving.
*The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a small team.
*A flexible work ethic with the ability to shift from desk based design to practical hands-on work as required.
