Graduate/Junior Applications Engineer
South West Germany

A market leading semiconductor company in developing, manufacturing and marketing high-performance solutions for the automotive market as well as industrial and consumer/communications market, is looking for a Junior Applications Engineer for their Technical Centre in Germany.

In this position you will work closely with a Senior Application Engineer providing support to key German and European customers and driving the definition and development of new sensor products and technologies with a focus on magnetic FEM simulations.

Your responsibilities will include:
*Technical support to customers and OEMs through magnetic simulations and lab measurements.
*Technical interface to customers for the design-in of new custom and applications specific products.
*Define new current, linear and angle sensor products based on customer specifications
*Write technical documentation.

As the successful Applications Engineer you are Masters degree qualified in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Physics and have an interest in magnetic fields/sensors.
*Skills and experience with FEM simulators are essential.
*Knowledge of semiconductor physics and/or mixed-signal circuit design are an added benefit to your application.
*Experience in programming using Matlab/Simulink, Verilog, C++, LabWindows.


You should be fluent in English and German as you will have customer contact with German customers and a willingness to travel to customer sites in Germany is required. You will be working in a small international team and generally good communication skills in English are required.

This is a great opportunity for a masters graduate or Engineer at the start of their electronics career to learn and build up expertise in the field of magnetic sensors.
