Functional Safety Expert

Location: South Germany

Job Type: 12+ month contract

The Company

My client is a market leading German supplier of sensing and control equipment in the automotive industry.

The Role

  • Define and implement safety architectures for automotive products
  • Carry out technical safety analyses for example hazard and risk analysis, FMEDA, FTA, DFA
  • Develop work products according to ISO26262
  • Act as Functional Safety Manager within R&D projects
  • Participate in functional safety audits/assessments
  • Contact person for project teams and customers in functional safety matters
  • Participate in the integration of ISO26262 requirements into the process landscape

The Individual

  • Degree in electrical engineering or physics, preferably in microelectronics
  • 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry, preferably in the field of mixed signal ICs for the automotive industry
  • Experience in the implementation of ISO26262 and/or similar standards (e.g. IEC 61508)
  • Knowledge of software development standards like CMMI or SPICE is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of project management
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
