An exciting opportunity for a Digital Physical Implementation Engineer has arisen with our client, Europe's largest semiconductor chip developer. This role is based in the Edinburgh, within a team developing state-of-the-art CMOS image sensors.

As a member of the digital physical implementation team, you will be responsible for all stages of the RTL-GDS2 flow, covering synthesis, floorplanning, Place and Route (P&R), clocktree integration, power integrity, physical verification and timing analysis. It's an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills in each field, and become a true Physical Design expert. As the role is varied and multi-disciplinary in nature, you'll enjoy a broad and rewarding working experience.


As the successful Physical Implementation Engineer you will be a motivated, focussed engineer, with a strong background in digital physical implementation / digital backend design. Various levels of experience can be considered for this position; however suitable candidates will have strong skills in several of the following:

*Digital Synthesis
*Place and Route (P&R)
*Static Timing Analysis (STA)
*Cadence / Synopsys EDA tools for Synthesis and Place & Route
*TCL / Perl scripting
