Graduate Processor Verification Engineer - London, UK

A promising Junior Verification Engineer with excellent advanced verification skills (systemVerilog/Specman e, OVM/UVM, Formal Methods) is sought for a brand new team within a world-leading CPU company, now embarking on an exciting new development phase that will allow their engineers to work on a number of completely new CPU projects.

In this rewarding role you will get the chance to work on the development of advanced CPU cores as well as getting an insight into the SoCs and systems they are integrated into.

The successful candidate will have an exciting role working within the hardware design team, employing cutting edge verification flows to help achieve the goal of right first time IP. You have the opportunity to be involved in the complete design cycle; specification, architecture, RTL design, synthesis trials, verification, customer support, with an emphasis on the advanced verification portion of this cycle. You will be working on brand new RTL, making this an extremely rare opportunity for a talented engineer to advance their career.

The ideal candidate will;

* Have experience or in depth knowledge in ASIC Verification and be degree qualified in Electronics/Physics/Computer Science/Engineering/Maths or similar
* Have strong digital hardware design and verification skills using VHDL, Specman e, systemVerilog, C/C++ or Verilog, as well as in depth knowledge and/or experience of OVM/UVM.
* Be knowledgeable in some of the following;

-Assertion Based Verification (SVA) with experience of formal proofs for assertions
-Formal Verification
-Scripting in TCL, Python or Perl
-Programming in assembler or in C/ C++
-Working in Linux environment
-Formal equivalence checking
-FPGA prototyping
-System modelling in SystemC
-Logic synthesis and static timing analysis

Knowledge of MIPS or RISC architecture is beneficial, as is experience with high frequency and low power design techniques, but this is not required for this role. The most important requirement here is the ability to think outside the box, and solve complex problems. Full training will be given on verification methodologies.

Great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach are essential for this role, as you will be working within a small specialised team, communicating regularly with other departments.
