My client is a consultancy based in Cambridge who are heavily involved in smart technology (eg. smart metering, sensors, IOT). They're currently looking for a Business Development Consultant who can target utilities and industrial customers, aiding the sales of services/solutions with technical input. You'll be the link between sales and engineering teams, so it's imperative to understand the smart technology market, and have the following attributes:

- A technical degree in Electronics/ Mechanical engineering; Physics; Software of similar
- Experience working with utilities (water, gas, electricity) companies, or working with smart technology in the wider industrial market
- A good understanding of IOT/ Wireless applications
- The ability to provide a solutions style approach to sales/ business development
- The willingness to travel internationally as required

This is role which offers input on a broad scope of projects. Due to the nature of the business this isn't an 'off the shelf' product sell, but rather services and solutions, which will keep you technically challenged.
