Based in Swindon the Power Supply Design Engineer will be joining a fantastic team at a global electronics organisation.
The power supply design engineer will have a wide variety of skills and will be responsible for the design, development, testing and taking to production power supplies. The power supplies are taken to market to a wide variety of industries including Telecommunications, Industrial, Defence, Medical and Marine.

Key Responsibilities Include:

The Engineer will be tasked to design, test and assemble prototypes, carrying out electrical and electronic design calculations. The engineer will have responsibility for new product development carrying out tasks such as schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM component selection, development of new power supplies and technical support in the manufacturing phase. Throughout this whole process the engineer will maintain effective communication with the engineering manager.

The successful candidate will have:

*A degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
*Strong understanding of power supplies with high voltage
*A hands on approach
*Ability to work on AC mains high powered products
*Experience of environmental and regulatory approvals testing
*Fluent English & Strong PC Skills
