Business Developer - Smart Sensors - Cambridge, UK

My client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking a Business Developer to join their Smart Sensors division. This is a brand new position to lead the development of the Smart Sensors business and marketing strategy. Cambridge based with travel.

Requirements:
*Relevant electronics /software degree (or equivalent)
*Strong experience in Smart Sensor technology or markets
*Demonstrable success in developing new business
*Ability to provide technical input into Smart Sensor market requirements

Responsibilities:
*Opening new business opportunities and generating enquiries for the Smart Sensor market
*Identify and collaborate with potential business partners
*Seek out, qualify and develop new leads through networking and cold-calling
*Support all related design, marketing, pricing and advertising functions
*Provide accurate pipeline forecasts to commercial directors

Open to a "hunter" profile who is keen to work at the forefront of IOT and Smart Sensors and who will relish in developing a strong market through chasing leads and being pro-active! Carrying with you a flair for presentation and business you are able to sit convincing engineers one minute and discussing P&L level commercials with the CFO the next.
