As the Program Manager (ATG) you will work closely with the Architects, Technical Leads and Engineering Teams to manage Architecture development programs from conception through to final delivery, ensuring quality, on-spec, on-time delivery of complex programs. Responsibilities include setting expectations, initiating and monitoring the program and its component projects, planning, scheduling, issue/risk management as well as management of program stakeholders and dependencies and communication to internal/external partners.

You will be responsible for managing large, complex programs in the area of architecture definition, specifically the development of specifications and other related enabling technologies. Although you will be based in Cambridge, there will be close links with teams in India, US, and Europe and the role will require regular communication and occasional travel.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Engineering degree or equivalent.

* Proven ability to take ownership, lead, monitor and motivate program groups and project teams.

* Extensive experience of applying program and project management in a rapidly-changing development environment.

* Demonstrated ability in building and managing programs from a high level down to individual projects.

* Clear understanding of, and ability to apply the concepts of risk management.

* Able to manage stakeholders through personal leadership and clear program and project goals.

* Self-motivated, looking to accept new challenges.

* Professional attitude, with strong attention to detail and quality of outputs.

* Pro-active and pragmatic with regards to problem solving.

* Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.

* Experience of:

- communicating program and project breakdown and status to senior management.

- liaising with external partners and remote development teams.

* Willing to travel on occasional basis.

Desirable Skills & Experience

* Formal project management qualification (e.g. PMP, APMP).

* Familiar with project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project.

* Experience or exposure to ARM Architecture and / or development of compliance validation suites.

* Comfortable with configuration methods, versioning and documentation tools.

* Ability to explain complex topics clearly and succinctly to a range of audiences.

* Understanding of a range of hardware and software development lifecycle approaches

(e.g. waterfall, iterative, agile).
