Technical Applications Engineer - Applications, Digital ASIC / FPGA Design

We are seeking a Technical Applications Engineer with a background in Digital ASIC or FPGA programming to join our client, an exciting silicon organisation based in East Anglia.

This is a real chance to join a Start-up at early stage, which is developing one of the most exciting technologies in the SoC space today. They are seeking a strong engineer, skilled in debug and VHDL programming, that also enjoys customer facing situations. The role will require travel (often to international locations, roughly one week in every six) and will predominantly be based out of their office in Cambridge.

The Technical Applications Engineer will act as a key liaison between customer and factory; taking customers through design evaluations and developing scripts and tools to aid customer product utilisation. This role would suit an engineer keen to exercising their knowledge of IP design and verification whilst gaining international customer-facing and sales experience.

*Experience / knowledge in digital ASIC or FPGA design (VHDL or Verilog)
*Good Debug tool knowledge
*Development Tools: Linux, IDE (Eclipse)
*Degree or equivalent in Electronic or Electrical engineering
*Excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in travel and working with customers
