Our client, an exciting and rapidly expanding USB chip developer is on the lookout for a Principal Digital IC Design Engineer to join their design centre based in Cambridge.

The Principal Digital ASIC Designer will be responsible for designing and implementing high performance network products, and take ownership for all phases of the digital design process from specification, architecture, RTL design through verification, synthesis and timing closure. You will be actively involved in enhancement of device level architecture, and have a strong influence over the design direction.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and talented Front-End ASIC Design Engineer, with:

*A strong academic record, with a University degree in Computer Science / Electronic Engineering or similar
*An extensive and proven track record working as a Digital ASIC Designer, with experience of multiple successful chip development cycles

Experience in any the following would be desirable, although not essential:

*FPGA design / prototyping
*C or Assembler programming
*Network/Interface experience (USB, Ethernet, PCIe, etc.)
*PCB design
