Senior Digital ASIC Design Engineer - Image Processing, Cambridge

An exceptional opportunity for a Senior Digital ASIC Design Engineer to join a global image processing company based in Cambridge.

This company is a specialist technology organisation developing pixel-perfect image processing technology for a growing range of high-value market areas, from smartphone cameras, automotive imaging systems, video conferencing and security. On the back of multiple design wins and a rocketing number of international customers, they are set for considerable expansion and seek a Senior Digital RTL Design Engineer to join their UK office in Cambridge.

This is a superb opportunity to develop IP for a wide range of famous global customers. Working closely with the Algorithm team and System Architect, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing complex video processing functions in VHDL to deliver high quality RTL. The role will involve implementing complex video processing functions, often working from Matlab models, to deliver production-quality RTL.

*A strong academic degree in Computer Science / Electronic Engineering or similar
*Excellent digital design skills for ASIC / FPGA, with detailed RTL design experience in VHDL / Verilog
*Good algorithmic understanding, with experience of implementing complex algorithms into hardware designs
*An understanding of embedded system level design, such as memory and processor interfaces/buses etc.
*Experience working in image or communications processing is desirable
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
