Applications Engineer - Industrial Metrology - Germany

My client produces industrial metrology tools that give characterisation readings for size, form and geometry (down to a nm level) - similar to those you will obtain from a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). They're currently looking for an Applications Engineer in Munich to support customers with post-sales application support, on both the hardware and software. They cooperate with a very well-known distribution partner, so you'll be working closely with them and offering expertise throughout the sales cycle.

It's a travelling role which will require time in the Munich facility whilst not on customer site. Travel will be across Europe, although they have a good presence in Germany and a lot of regional customers.

The successful applicant will need:

- A degree in mechanical/ electronics/ electrical/ software engineering, or similar
- A background providing applications support (pre or post sales) on complex hardware and software
- The ability to base themselves in Munich in order to spend time in the office
- The willingness to travel across Europe as necessary
- Business fluent German and English

Apply now if you're an applications engineer who wants to work with ultra-high precision metrology equipment, for a tool manufacturer in Munich. You will gain exposure to customers across a range of sectors, from automotive, industrial, life sciences, research institutes, metallurgy, aerospace and beyond.
