My client produces industrial metrology tools that give characterisation readings for size, form and geometry (down to a nm level) - similar to those you will obtain from a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). They're currently looking for a Field Service Engineer in Munich to support customers with installation, calibration, troubleshooting, upgrades and preventative/ corrective maintenance.

It's a travelling role which will require time in the Munich facility whilst not on customer site. Travel will be across Europe, although they have a good presence in Germany and a lot of 'regional' customers.

The successful applicant will need:

- A degree in mechanical/ electronics/ electrical engineering, or similar
- A background installing and repairing complex capital equipment in an industrial environment
- The ability to base themselves in Munich in order to spend time in the office
- The willingness to travel across Europe as necessary
- Business fluent German and English

We don't necessarily need a metrology expert, as full training will be provided. What's more important is a good combination of mechanical/ electrical/ electronics experience and a 'hands on' problem solver, who's deployable to customers at short notice.

Apply now if you're a field service engineer who wants to work on ultra high precision metrology equipment for a tool manufacturer in Munich.
