Mechanical Design Engineer / Project Manager - West Yorkshire

I'm looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a minimum of 10 years' experience in an Automation or Machine building environment, Ideally special purpose machinery. Experience in converting machines would be beneficial.

The Mechanical Engineer must have/be:

*Good 3D cad knowledge. Ideally Autodesk inventor but not essential.
*Experience of mechanism design, general machine fabrication design and able to detail machined and fabricated parts to a high standard.
*Experience of designing from a blank sheet of paper\customer specification with the ability to innovate bringing new ideas\concepts to the business.
*Experience in the design and specification of servo controlled mechanisms, AC drive systems, pneumatics, general machinery devices and sensing technology.
*Experience in working with alignment to the Machinery Directive and associated EN standards.
*Able to work autonomously when required communicating with customers, suppliers and other project stakeholders to see the project from cradle to grave.
*Capable of working in a team and when required leading the team.
*Experience of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
*Experience of CE Marking would be beneficial.
