My client is a globally recognised brand in the x-ray and optical metrology fields. Having recently launched a new Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) product for industrial measurement, they need a Strategic Sales Manager to assume responsibility over worldwide sales. This will include pushing the product in to existing key accounts who are already users of their metrology equipment, as well as mapping out new target areas/customers and developing new business.

Travel will predominantly be within Europe, with a big focus on Germany, France and the UK. However, there will also be a requirement to spend time in Asia and the US. There is a product support team in the US where the tools are manufactured, and also an applications lab in southern Germany, so this role will require liaising with multi-cultural teams on how to best support customers.

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

- A technical degree (mechanical engineering, electronics or similar)
- A proven track record selling metrology hardware in to industrial customers
- A strategic sales background
- The willingness to travel internationally (up to 70% of the time)
- Business fluent English and German

This is a home based role which will have you on the road several days a week. You will be the CMM product specialist with autonomy over devising and executing sales strategies. Apply now if you're a senior sales manager with experience selling metrology (CMM) equipment in to industrial customers.
