Applications Engineer - Semiconductor Metrology - Dresden

My client has been manufacturing semiconductor metrology equipment for a quarter of a century and they operate in 25 countries - all driven from their headquarters in Dresden. They're currently looking for an Applications Engineer who can support sales, product management and R&D teams by acting as a technical interface between customers and internal departments.

You will offer solutions to customers after taking the time to understand the challenges they face improving yield, and guide them in choosing the right product to achieve their goals. This is mainly an internal role which will also require demos on site in Dresden, as well as 30% travel (mainly in Europe).

This successful candidate will need:

- A technical degree (in physics, chemistry, electronics/ electrical/ mechanical engineering etc)
- Experience in a process or applications position within the semiconductor manufacturing environment
- Exposure to metrology/ inspection equipment (preferred)
- The ability to travel up to 30% of the time
- A customer facing disposition
- Business fluent English

This is a key role in sales support, which reflects on the company's 'technical competence'. You need to be able to satisfy engineering teams on customer site, as well as translate technical requirements to the commercial side of the business. Apply now if you're a process engineer/ applications engineer in the semiconductor equipment field (ideally metrology or inspection), who wants a pivotal position in Dresden for an established supplier of high tech process tools.
