My client, a global giant in the telecommunications sector, is looking to grow its development centre in Bristol, and focus on processor core development for use within their family of application-specific SOC's.

As part of this growth, they seek a Senior Processor Design Engineer to define the micro-architecture of the Multi-thread Processor core, working closely alongside the Chief Processor Architect as well as software and ASIC teams. The successful candidate will be involved in the implementation of different major functional units of the processor core, supporting development from system and architectural design, modelling and benchmarking, micro-architecture design through front and back-end implementation.

Desired Skills and Experience:

*Proven digital design experience in complex processor projects
*Experience with Multi-Core, multi-threaded processors architectures/designs
*A good understanding of computer system architecture, memory systems or cache coherency
*Experience in complex high speed RTL module design, OR experience with constrained random and formal verification
*Good Understanding of ARM instruction set is desirable
*A good understanding of TCP/IP networking/service packet protocols would also be beneficial

Candidates need to be highly motivated, organized and self-motivated engineers, capable of working well independently as well as in a team, with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
