Equipment Engineer - Semiconductors - Suffolk

My client is a semiconductor OEM who focus on low volume production for specialist applications, mainly on 2" and 3" wafers. They have a fab based in Suffolk and are looking for an Equipment Engineer to work on a day shift basis. As they're a small team, they require someone who is willing to work on a 'cross boundary' basis - installing and maintaining a range of 'front end' vacuum process equipment.

The successful candidate will need:

- A technical qualification in physics, electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar
- A background working in a semiconductor fab
- Experiencing troubleshooting capital equipment (on a mechanical and electrical/ electronics level)
- The ability to understand process issues as well as tool malfunctions
- The willingness to train on new toolsets as legacy kit is replaced

This is an equipment role with several career options. As the fab scales up and new machines are installed, you will become instrumental in training and managing new technicians. You'll also have involvement in the selection and planning of new equipment - liaising with the 3rd party vendors to ensure efficiency as the production line grows and refines.

Apply now if you're a semiconductor equipment engineer with experience installing/ maintaining 'front end' vacuum equipment eg. etch, deposition, CVD, PVD, PECVD, implant, diffusion
