Principal Analog IC Design Engineer - Power Management - UK

A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer to join a successful company involved in high performance Analog/Mixed Signal ICs for the consumer electronics market.

In this position you will be responsible for the design of CMOS/BCD Analog/Mixed Signal power management circuits.

Tasks include; top level simulation and verification, leading projects into production, support test development and ramp up to production, manage layout, support DFT strategy, interpreting requirement specifications to achieve design strategies and mentoring more junior engineers.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 8 years experience in Analog IC Design in one of the following areas: audio and power management; consumer displays; automotive body electronics or wireless hand-held. Experience in some or all of the following is also required; switching converters, controllers: Buck/Boost/Chargers, Linear regulators, ADC's (SAR, sigma-delta, time-to-digital converters, pipeline), PLLs, charge pumps, bandgaps. Knowledge of portable power management: Lithium ion charging / battery chargers is ideal.

You will be required to work to a high standard and within deadline, be self-motivated and work well in team. The ability to propose innovative and leading edge solutions will be a strong benefit.
