Principal Analog / RF IC Design Engineer - Cambridge UK

An opportunity has arisen to join a well respected and successful semiconductor company that is developing breakthrough solutions for the wireless connectivity market.

Due to continued success, our client seeks a Principal Analog/RF IC Design Engineer with proven tape out experience for their UK design centre.

The engineer will work within the Analog/RF group on circuit design to be used in radio transceivers. You will be responsible for the design from the initial choice of architecture to the final delivery of the product. The ability to innovate new techniques to meet challenging circuit requirements is highly desired. You will be working closely with layout engineers to define the floorplan as well as working closely with other teams i.e. the system team to define the system requirements and the digital team to define the Analog/Digital interface.

Industry degree qualified (or equivalent) the successful Analog/RF IC Design Engineer will have circa 10+ years experience in design in one or more of the following; ADCs, DACs, PLLs, PA (Power amplifier), LNAs, Mixers and Filters. You will have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of Analog and/or RF IC Design and have experience and familiarity with system requirements on one or more of the following wireless standards: WLAN, EDGE, BT, GSM and LTE.

You will be familiar with Verilog-AMS modelling, matlab and ideally python as well as laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers.

Strong ability to work well in a team is essential along with excellent problem solving skills and communication skills.
