An ambitious Senior Cores Implementation Engineer is sought to join a specialist graphics team within a world-leading semiconductor company based in Cambridge, UK. Their technology lies at the heart of most advanced digital products, from wireless, networking and consumer entertainment solutions to imaging, automotive, security and storage devices.
This exciting multinational company designs the world's most advanced IP, and due to ever increasing demand for their leading-edge processors are expanding their CPU teams across the globe.
You will join a small and talented team enjoying the opportunity to innovate and make significant contributions, whilst employing leading-edge technologies and methodologies. Specifically you will work on the design and implementation of my client's processors, test chips and SoCs, understand, plan and address the lifecycle phases of engineering projects and co-operate and communicate with the RTL, implementation and circuit teams to realise new R&D concepts.
The ideal candidate will have;
* Experience of ASIC implementation challenges on cutting edge process nodes and knowledge of ARM based SoCs
* Experience with running Logical Synthesis and STA, as well as top and/or block level floor planning, Place and Route, CTS, logical and physical optimization, logical equivalence checking, timing closure and power analysis flows.
* Good scripting skills using Tcl, Perl, Makefile and Shell scripts, as well as experience in the entire IC design flow, from RTL through to GDSII.
This opportunity will involve interfacing closely with EDA Vendors and customers, so good communication skills and team working abilities are essential, as well as the ability to learn and promote the use of new techniques and methodologies within projects.
