Analog / Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer - Malaysia

In this position you will be responsible for Analog/RF IC Design in process technologies including CMOS, BiCMOS/DMOS, BCD, HV. You will be responsible for design from feasibility to specification to monitoring layout, tapeout and silicon validation. As part of the job you will be required to interact with customers, to understand their requirements, develop product specifications and to provide technical support. In addition you will be responsible for overseeing layout supporting and guiding the layout team.
The successful Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer will have established experience in Analog and/or RF IC Design as well as some or all of the following blocks; Op amps, comparators, current sources, current mirrors, voltage references, bandgap references, linear regulators, DC-DC converter of various topologies, LDOs, (UVLO, POR, OTP, short circuit protection, PLLs, output drivers, multiplexer and de-multiplexer, clock generator, equalizers, clock and data recovery, frequency detectors, oscillators, filters, ADCs and DACs.
Experience with design practices such as minimizing device mismatch, noise, signal coupling, ESD, latchup and device SOA is essential. Experience with simulation tools required to efficiently simulate analog/mixed-signal circuits e.g. Spectre, Ultrasim, HSpice and an understanding of simulation models, design rules and verification procedures (DRC/LVS/ERC) is essential. Modelling and design skills in Verilog-A/Verilog-AMS and system modelling with Matlab is an added advantage.
Good communication in English is required. Some travel may be invovled so flexibility and a desire to travel is a plus.
