The opportunity for a Mechanical Designer based near Cambridge to work on a diverse range of innovate and challenging technologies for the Communications and Electronics Industry.
The successful candidate will join a small yet dynamic team, and be responsible for the mechanical design for projects largely based around core radio capabilities, ranging from low volume machined housing, right through to complex consumer products.
You will take a project from concept through to manufacturer handover, and produce technical reports and presentations to back this up. A good relevant degree is required, such as Product Design or a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
You will ideally have skills or background in the following:
- Experience of 3D CAD design tools
- Appreciation of design with consideration of thermal and EMC performance.
- Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes (machining/moulding/casting/prototyping)
- Any experience or working with PCB layout engineers would be advantageous
