Senior/Principal DSP Engineer

Purpose of Role:

Implement real time embedded software in the LTE physical layer to meet the requirements of our mobile communications products.

Duties & Responsibilities
*Detailed design, coding and debugging of real time embedded software in C
*Implementation of Physical layer aspects of the 3GPP LTE FDD/TD
*Module and integration testing
*Support of the system test team
*Support and maintenance of existing code
*Solve problems encountered in the product with minimum help
*Complete assigned work in time to the satisfaction of the project manager
*Able to independently solve problems encountered in the product
*Work across different teams to solve problems

Essential Skills
*Degree or equivalent in an electronic engineering, telecommunications, digital processing or similar discipline
*Experienced programmer in real time embedded C and/or DSP Programming
*Have a good working knowledge of mobile (wireless) communications, and have experience on physical layer
*Knowledgeable in software development practices
*The ability to produce good technical documents
*A good understanding of digital signal processing and its implementation on fixed point DSP processors
*Be experienced in full product life cycle development
*Be an expert in code debugging and efficiency improvements
*Self motivated team player who is able to work independently and on own initiative
*Excellent organisational skills
*Ability to communicate confidently both written and verbally
*Ability to produce high quality technical documents
*Customer and quality driven, but pragmatic and commercially aware

Desirable Skills
*Previous experience of Physical layer 3GPP LTE TDD / FDD
*Overall LTD FDD / TDD / OFDM knowledge
