Test / Development Engineer - SMPS / DC-DC / AC-DC
A world class electronics company in the South East / Home Counties UK, seek a Sustaining Engineer to join a growing team of Power Supply Design Engineers. The role of the Sustaining Engineer will be to maintain the existing product portfolio, dealing both with external and internal customers.
The Sustaining Engineer will work closely on Power Supply Converters and will be responsible for the following:
- Redesigning existing products to improve quality
- Provide technical expertise to manufacturers and customers
- Reduce Manufacturing / Materials cost for AC-DC / DC-DC and other related converters
- Conduct Lab based testing and working to industry standards and;
- Solving complex engineering commercial issues
You will be highly motivated to work both individually and as part of a close knit team, you will have formal qualification equivalent of UK degree level in Electronics or related subject and you will have at least 2 years' experience in industry within a similar remit. The ability to deal with customers is imperative and so is a strong understanding of Analog Hardware / Power Electronics. Any knowledge of FMEA is beneficial.
