Based in Oxfordshire, the Research Power Electronics Scientist/Engineer will work with a innovative company who are widely respected as one of the pioneers in Consumer Electronics. Having conquered this remit over last five decades, the company now seek to produce innovative technology for the Energy and Lighting market.

Responsibilities will include: Research and Development (R&D) of Power Electronics to interface energy storage with PV, development of battery management systems, control techniques and control systems, SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) and LED / Lighting design/development. The successful applicant will join a multi-disciplinary team and work alongside some of the most successful and reputed Design Engineers in the Power Electronics sphere.

The successful candidate should have a strong academic record (Ph.D, MEng, BEng etc) in Physics or Engineering, a track record of quality and innovation in research and be strongly motivated to strive for best practice. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually is key.
