An opportunity has arisen to join an exciting fabless semiconductor company developing breakthrough solutions for the wireless connectivity market. Our client seeks a Junior or Graduate CAD Support Engineer to join their methodology team contributing to the direction and facilitation of design tools for the Analog IC Design team.

Tasks include:

-Development, maintenance and support of new tools for designers to use in the development of their designs.
-Maintenance and management of third party software from EDA companies.
-Oversee test and release of the combinations of internal and third party software used by designers.
-Work to maximise the return on investment on licensed EDA software.
-Contribute towards the continuous development of the department's processes.
-Provide advice and support for designers when they encounter issues while using the design flow.

Industry degree qualified (or equivalent) the successful CAD Support Engineer will ideally have experience in Design Methodology/CAD Support/Design Automation and experience in programming in TCl, Skill, Perl/Python or similar in a Linux environment with knowledge of techniques for CAD Support for Analog IC Design teams including schematics and layouts, Analog circuit simulation using a SPICE language and experience the associated design automation tools.

Experience with Analog design techniques, Analogue circuit elements and/or Analog circuit simulation using SPICE or other automation tools would be ideal.
