An Applications Engineer with a strong Digital ASIC Design background is sought by our client, one of the world's most successful microchip developers.

Working within the Product Management team, the Applications Engineer will provide first-rate technical support to the company's semiconductor and software partners, facilitating the deployment of cutting edge Graphics IP cores into a wide range of platforms and OEM devices and ensuring products get to market as quickly as possible. You will take ownership of key graphics/hardware deliverables and provide expertise to other management team members, solve customer issues and support product delivery at customer sites.

*A solid understanding of the digital ASIC design process, ideally having spent a few years in an RTL design role
*VHDL/Verilog experience
*Experience with simulation and synthesis tools, such as Cadence / Synopsys
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen interest in moving into a customer-facing environment
*Previous experience giving presentations or liaising with external vendors would be advantageous
