A Leading Engineering company based in Leicestershire is looking to strengthen the team with a Technical Lead who will lead the specification, design, prototyping and development of power systems for automotive vehicles.
The Role…
As a Technical Lead, you'll have responsibility for developing technical and commercial relationships and will define & implement technical support and problem-solving.
You'll ensure that design, test and manufacturing development programmes are set up to deliver requirements and will focus on motivating the correct standards of performance for prototypes.
You'll ensure that there is a high standard of technical quality and accuracy in bills of materials, documents, drawings, tests, reports and will run an efficient technical change management process.

You'll have proven experience in a similar Technical Lead position and will ideally be educated to Degree level or equivalent in an Engineering / Physics discipline. ( A postgraduate qualification would also be desirable)
You'll understand pipeline & instrumentation schematics for fluid / mechanical systems.
You'll have experience with the principles of Systems Engineering, including; Requirements Management, Concept and architecture definition, Optimisation through trade-studies, Verification planning and execution.
You'll have the ability to understand and generate an engineering drawing.
You'll have a good understanding of electro / mechanical device design (For example, Power generation or Battery design).
You'll have knowledge of quality management systems and document control.
You'll have the ability to find and build relationships with potential suppliers of components or services.
You'll be competent with Microsoft Office.
