One of the UK's leading food & drink manufacturers requires an experienced PLC Control Technician / Engineer to join their engineering team at their growing site based in the Bradford area.

A key role in the development and expansion of the processing centre as PLC Control Technician / Engineer you will be instrumental in the initial commissioning phase and in the up-skilling of other members of the engineering team.

As PLC Control Technician / Engineer your principle accountabilities will be:-
To effect rapid resolution of electrical, control & instrumental issues.
To support the implementation phase of group engineering projects.
First port of call for electrical issues escalated out of shift capability.
Accountable for the control and availability of PLC software backups.
To create, develop and implement standard operating procedures and other supporting documentation to assist shift electricians in rapid diagnosis and return to service.

As an experienced PLC Control Technician / Engineer you will have:-
City & Guilds, HNC / ONC Electrical - equivalent or higher.
Experienced "hands on" electrical & controls bias maintenance of Food/FMCG plant.
History of PLC Control management, programme rewriting and fault diagnosis.
Siemens S7 PLC experience preferable.
Programming capabilities of ladders, function blocks & statement lists.
Use of CMMS systems (SAP PM ideally).
Wonderware conversant would be highly desirable.
Man management experience and excellent communication skills.

As PLC Control Technician / Engineer you will enjoy a rotating continental shift pattern working either a 36 or 48 hour week. Paid as a flat weekly rate with an on-going opportunity for overtime.
